Children's bicycle

To know which frame size children's bicycle you should have, the wheel size is always looked at. We have children's bicycles with 20 inch and 24 inch wheels. It is quite easy to determine the right size for your child. First, measure your child's height. It is not entirely coincidental that these are the same proportions as the clothing sizes for children. We do not offer smaller children's bicycles for safety reasons. When cycling on public roads, children must have sufficient bicycle capacity, otherwise we recommend a cargo bike or a bicycle with a child seat.

20 inch

117 cm – 128 cm

6-9 jaar24 inch

129 cm – 152 cm

8-11 years

Frame size is important because a bike that is too big and heavy can be unmanageable for your child. And that in turn provokes falls and the associated misery and tears.

With the right frame size, your child can always easily try to get a foothold. That does not alter the fact that falling is unfortunately part of learning to ride a bicycle, but you can try to reduce the number of falls. A good children's bicycle can also tolerate a fall, so if it goes wrong once, it is not a disaster.
